123.gifMy village is a mahalakotuwa.my school situation in my village.my village is very beautifully.thats situation is naklass hill. This is village rural area.our village an enviorenment the actractive. The villagers poor people. They are living to hard working.there will be a clever woman and women and there village  developing.there is agrama niladari village.our village in to families are 35. there is a temple in our village.there are beautiful waterfall in our village.thre are large forest in the village.There are education people in our village.there is a long rever by our village.there is a not a policestation in my village but our village very beautiful. Coffee, coconuts and varios fruit trees grow in my village.

132.gifMy village is mahalakotuwa. It is a small village.which is situation in laggala-pallegama division in the matale district.it is believed that many years ago there have lived ‘weddas’in my village.this is proved by the name of wedda peni ella a waterfall in etanwala.it has got this name as a wedda has died by falling in to this waterfall one day.   Chena cultivation had been the livelihood of the ancestors in my village and they have cultivated millet,long beans,green gram and vegetables. But today paddy cultivation has become the major livelihood of the villagers.in addition to that they grow tomatoes ,cabbage and beans and also they rear cows in order to use in forming and for milking. Though most of the villagers are farmers there are some government servents too. Since earlier there was not a school Christians has tried to start a new catholic school in the village.but before that kosgahahene sri sumana thero has started a new school with 10 children in a small hut.it was the  beginning of our school and it has happened in 1925.though it has started in a small hut at the present it has becom developed school with many facilities such as multimedia unit , library, science lab and a computer lab.there are  about 200 students and a staff with 16 teachers.with all these facilities we have got the chance to access to the world easily. All the people in mahalakotuwa are Buddhist and there is a temple in my village.as it was inaugurated by sumana thero it is called as sri sumaramaya.this temple is situated in a rock cave. Today a part of this temple is damaged a large part of  its rock has fallen docon

My school is cp/will/mahalakotuwa  sri sumana maha widyalaya. I was established in 1925 by venerable sumana thero.At the time there had been about 10 students when the had begun.At the present our school has reached to a higher step of the ladder of development. It is the only school in the area which is rich in both human and physical resources. There are about 200 students and 16 teachers. And also we are lucky to have physical resources such as a Science lab, Home science room, Multi media unit, Library, Art room and a Computer lab. The computer lab of our school is established in 2004 by the Secondary Education Modernization Project. at the present 98% of the students in the school are with ability of operating computers and also 60% of them usually gather information through the internet. Learning has become very easy for us with the computer. Since we can update our knowledge through internet and also we maintain a healthy communication with the outer world by exchanging E-mails.  We should protect our school ourselves. Our school teachers very good and kindly. There are bright students in our school. There is not a monk in the school.
